Delete your account

You can delete your FlatStock account and everything in it from inside the app. You do not need to ask us, and you do not need an active subscription to do it.

From the app

Open FlatStock, tap the gear in the top right to open Settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. The app asks you to confirm, because this cannot be undone.

By email

If you cannot get into the app, write to hello@flatstock.app from the address on the account and ask for it to be deleted. A person reads it and will confirm when it is done.

Take your data first, if you want it

Deletion is permanent, so export first if you want a copy. Settings has Export everything as CSV, and it works on any day, including after a subscription has ended. Once the account is gone we cannot get it back for you.

Deleting some of it, without deleting the account

You do not have to choose all or nothing. Anything you put into FlatStock you can take back out of it from inside the app, on its own: delete a single item, empty or delete a whole folder, remove a photo from an item, or clear a check-out from the ledger. Those deletions sync to your other devices and to our database the same way any other change does, and they are permanent too.

What is deleted with the account

Everything the account holds is removed permanently: your items, folders, quantities, prices, notes, barcodes and custom fields; every photo you added; your check-out ledger and its history; your stock counts; and the account itself, meaning your email address and password.

What is kept, and for how long

Two things outlive the account, and neither is your inventory.

Purchase records. Your subscription is billed by Apple or Google, not by us, and the record of it lives with them and with RevenueCat, our subscription service. We cannot delete a record we do not hold. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel that in your Apple Account or Google Play settings, or it will keep renewing.

Backups. Deleted rows disappear from our live database immediately. Encrypted daily backups of that database roll off on a schedule of at most 30 days, after which no copy of them remains. Your photos are not in those backups at all, so they are gone the moment the account is.

There is no analytics, advertising or tracking data to delete, because none is ever collected.
